Below you will find an outline of the departments here at The Idea Factory and the intern needs as well as some of the qualifications and duties one can expect to utilize during their time as an intern. We typically like our interns to work 2-3 days per week and can easily work with each individual in scheduling around school and other jobs.
• Strong writing/verbal skills, coverage and relevant materials for network communications
• Course work/interest relating to television and film development
• Research skills, understanding and knowledge of internet and new media resources
• General office work, answering phones, filing and organization
• Course work/interest relating to commercial, film and television production
• Experience with equipment, cameras and sound (not mandatory, but students may have opportunities on set to PA in these departments)
• Knowledge of maps/GPS, large truck driving experience helpful(Uhaul style). Production interns must have a valid driver license and insurance
• General office work, answering phones, filing and organization
• Experience with editing software such as Final Cut Pro/Avid/After Effects
• Course work relating to post production, editing, graphics
• Understanding of computer systems a plus, IT, networking, etc.
• Knowledge of social media a plus
